About Our Director:
Peter Johnson
Peter Johnson earned both a Bachelor of Music Therapy and Master of Music Therapy from College and State University in 2020. He completed his internship at London Hall, a non-profit residential psychiatric facility for at-risk adolescent males. He spent the next 5 years working in the mental health field including working with patients of a variety of ages with substance use disorders.
Before relocating to London for this position, Johnson was a Music Therapist at Children’s Hospital and worked on the Hematology/Oncology, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care units. This experience expanded his scope to work with patients with medically and neurologically complex and diverse diagnoses. Preston has always been passionate about the neurology of how music impacts brain activity, and his position at the children’s hospital further solidified these passions.
Preston is thrilled to have the opportunity to work for Rehabilitative Rhythms.
